What made you want to become a doctor and how did you choose to become a surgeon?
Since I was a child I liked medicine and I became a surgeon for the well-being that it offers me and the patient when I can perform reconstructive surgery and it changes his/her life completely.

Where did you do most of your studies and how long have you been practicing?
I studied at Salvador B. Gautier hospital with training in New Jersey and Mexico for 8 years of practice.

How hard is it for you to balance life and work?
It is not very difficult since I only operate 2 patients per day to dedicate the necessary time to each patient and time for my private life.

Do you have your own practice?
Yes, I do, we are located in the Center of Plastic Surgery and Specialties Santo Domingo (CECIP)

In your experience, what are some of the most consistent misconceptions you hear from patients about cosmetic surgery?
Patients often think that after a fat transfer procedure to the glutes or BBL they can sit and often look for cushions or the famous (boppy pillow) as an alternative. This Misconception is completely wrong since the human being does not sit on the buttocks but on the thighs.

Do you have a favorite procedure that you think is best?
I could say Mammoplasty

What has been the most challenging in your job and why?
Being able to please and make patients feel good is a difficult task

How do you keep up to date with technology and industry advancements?
Reading and attending conferences and congresses every year.

How do you, as a doctor, ensure the safety of patients traveling from abroad to undergo surgery?
Carrying out the examinations required for each patient, according to their condition, and carrying out a good medical examination and medical history.
